[VIDEO] Fired Wedding Planner Hitting NeNe Leakes With Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit Speaks Out + Trailer For ‘I Dream of NeNe Wedding Special’ Hits
Earlier this summer, news hit that the Real Housewives of Atlanta break-out star, Mrs. NeNe Leakes, was being hit with a lawsuit. The quick and dirty is that she’s been hit with a lawsuit by a woman that was initially hired to be her wedding planner for extravagant wedding to Greg.
The woman’s name is Tiffany Cook and she owns a company called Dream Design Weddings & Events. According to the lawsuit, Tiffany that her company (Dream Design Weddings) was hired for her big day with Gregg Leakes, explaining that she was going to get paid her 15% of the entire wedding budget, along with fees for design and execution of the wedding and travel expenses to the event. In short, she’s suing for the unpaid amount of $1,142,900, along with damages. Outside of reports about the lawsuit, Tiffany hasn’t shared much about the drama, until now. In a recent interview with Rolling Out, she explained that her motives for filing the suit was not to gain publicity or fame:
I want to be paid for my services and clearly erase this damage this has caused. I want my life and my business back.
She continued:
She has 1.3 million [Twitter] followers. To say such negative things about me, it can only be devastating. When you Google my name right now, there are 300 pages saying I am a scam artist, among other things. Again, we [Tiffany Cook Events] deal with a high-profile clientele. Generally, I am all over the Internet for the fantastic things that I do. It is absolutely devastating.
Eek! And according to the trailer, some of the drama between NeNe and Tiffany will be caught on TV (of course!). The promo includes drama with NeNe’s family and an issue or two with some of her bridesmaids. Check it out.
‘I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding Special’ airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST starting Sept. 17, 2013.
