[INTERVIEW] Draya Michele Talks Spin-Off Rumors, Drama With New Basketball Wives LA Cast + Laura Govan
The cameras are rolling and so is the drama and entertainment as the filming continues on the third season of Basketball Wives LA. Correspondent Sabrina Campbell recently caught up with Draya Michele, one of the reality TV stars of the VH1 show, asking her to chat about rumors that her ‘Fine A** Girls’ brand was getting a spin-off, how she felt about Laura Govan criticizing how the show’s creator (Shaunie O’Neal) had recruited ‘hoes’ instead of Basketball Wives, plus her relationship. Check out our conversation below.
theJasmineBRAND.com: So we know that you have – we hear that you have a spin-off coming for your ‘Fine Ass Girls’. Is that true?
Draya Michele: There’s a lot I can’t say but you guys just to to watch ‘Basketball Wives’ and then maybe at the end we’ll give you some hints of what’s coming next so, got to stay tuned.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Okay, so we know that you have a new boyfriend. And you’re not keeping the relationship low-key private?
Draya Michele: I do have a new boyfriend. Me? I’m not keeping anything private! Are you crazy? It’s all over Instagram! We’re so proud of each other.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Switching gears here, we’ve heard – Laura Govan – she came out with a statement saying that the ‘Basketball Wives’ – the changes is not really ‘Basketball Wives’ – or something along those lines, what do you have to say about that?
Draya Michele: You know, I just kind of listen. The only people’s opinions which matters to me are the people that I work with everyday and she’s not on the show anymore so her opinion really doesn’t matter.
theJasmineBRAND.com: It’s a new season, and with the new cast members, how are you guys getting along?
Draya Michele: You know, it’s all new people so you’re always going to have new drama. So, you have to see it.
