In the celeb realm, 15 carats are the new black.

The newly engaged Ciara is beyond thrilled after her boyfriend rapper Future (real name Nayvadius D. Wilburn) popped the question. Over the weekend, which happened to fall on Ciara’s birthday, Future proposed in New York City, giving her a serious rock. The 28-year-old singer’s rep told E!:

The ring, which doubled as a special birthday gift, is a beautiful 15-carat emerald cut diamond designed by Avianne & Co.

Monday evening, CiCi (who is close friends with Kim Kardashian who also received a 15 carat ring) shared an up close and personal view of her engagement ring, writing:

Forever My King. #HappiestGirlInTheWorld.

No further information about their big day has yet been shared. This will be the first marriage for both artists.
