[UPDATED] Young Jeezy Arrested in Atlanta for Allegedly Attacking & Beating Son

Rapper Young Jeezy (real name Jay Jenkins) was arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats against his own son. The 35-year-old rapper was booked into Fulton County Jail on Friday January 3, after turning himself into authorities. According to reports, the charges are related to an alleged violent incident in September 2012 in which the South Carolina native was accused of fighting with his son.

The incident report indicates that Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and he threw his son into the glass shower door, causing the son to hit his head.  Then Jeezy allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him. The incident report adds  that son attempted to escape but the rapper’s bodyguard blocked the stairwell. According to police documents, Jeezy choked his son telling him

I will kill you. If I could get away with it, I would kill you.

He was released from jail on $45,000 bond.

This isn’t the rappers first brush with the law. In 2011 he was arrested after an alleged shooting involving some of his friends in Miami Beach. He was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit; however, prosecutors dropped his charges two months later over lack of evidence. In 2008, police arrested him for DUI. Jeezy’s attorney told TMZ,

We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately. At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.

Last week, Jeezy seemed to be in good spirits as he partying in Atlanta alongside Jay Z, Beyonce, Bow Wow and friends.

Two days after his arrest and release from jail, he shared a photo partying with the popular couple with the caption,

Straight Like That.

No further information  has yet been released.

UPDATE #2: Young Jeezy is disputing all claims that he physically attacked his son, Jadarius. Long story short, he says that his baby mama (Tenesha Dykes) was responsible for him being arrested. The rapper agrees they did get into an argument, but it never became violent. According to TMZ, Jeezy told the teenager he had turned into a punk kid with an attitude and he didn’t want the kid staying at his house. Jeezy claims he never hit, choked, or dragged his son, but admits he shoved him to the ground when Jadarius got in his face. He also says he never threatened his 17-year-old son with a bullet but told him,

I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it.
