[LISTEN] Miguel Collabs With HBO’s ‘Girls’ For New Single ‘Simplethings’
If your a fan of the HBO series “Girls” , then you will be in for a treat this upcoming third season. The ‘unlimited” singer, Miguel, made it clear with his vocals that he wants someone to chill with (maybe longtime girlfriend, Nazanin Mandi?) on his new song “Simplethings”. The strong guitar strings mixed with his mellow tone has definitely caught the eye of the show’s music supervisor Manish Raval , when choosing the record he explained in a recent interview:
We reached out to him. We are a huge fan of his and very early on in the process Lena Dunham said, “Can we just call him and see if he’ll do something?” We did, he said yes. It was very easy.
The Atlantic records album, (which can make for a cool V-day gift to one your good girlfriends, btw) will be released February 11th. Here’s the artwork for the upcoming “Girls” soundtrack, Girls, Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do…, that features Miguel along with others such as Vampire Weekend, Beck, and Lily Allen:
