[VIDEO] Charles Barkley Interviews President Obama About LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan Debate
In honor of NBA All Star Weekend 2014, President Barack Obama is giving his two cents on all things professional basketball. During a sit-down interview with retired NBA baller Charles Barkley, Obama weighed in on the never-ending comparisons between Michael Jordan (at his prime) and Miami Heat’s LeBron James.
You know LeBron, I know LeBron. When you’re standing next to him, you watch him close up. I’ve never seen somebody that size, that fast, that can jump that high, whose that strong, who has that much basketball savvy, all in one package. Uh, so we don’t yet know where he’s gonna be.
Because he spent most of his adult life in Chicago (he moved there in 1991 for Law school), he explained that Michael Jordan will always be legendary in his eyes. He said:
Now, I’m a Chicago guy and Mike will always be the guy, for me just because that was a magical moment for the city. And he was a champion but Mike’s now retired. LeBron, when you look at him, you think, He might be able to play at a high level for another 7, 8, 10 years. He’s 29 years old.
