[Photos] First Lady Michelle Obama, Gabrielle Union & More Celebs Attend BET’s Leading Women Defined Conference
Earlier this week, BET hosted its Fifth Annual Leading Women Defined in Miami. Held at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, the event brought together over 100 prominent African-American women during Women’s History Month, focusing on themes of health, wellness and renewal. It also included a series of business/networking sessions and community service activities with an overall focus on setting a national agenda that will positively set the Black community.
‘Good Morning America‘ host Robin Roberts was honored with the Butterfly Award for her extraordinary courage and unwavering commitment to service and leadership in her community. First Lady Michelle Obama was in attendance, participating in the conversation with the GMA host who shared a personal story about her her health and wellness. Other celeb participants and attendees included: Debra Lee, Gabrielle Union, Jeanette Jenkins, Kelly Rowland, June Ambrose, Mara Brock Akil, Lisa Price, Taren Guy, Valeisha Butterfield and many other ladies attended the event.
