Is Lupita Nyong’o Dating Rapper K’naan Warsame?

On the heels of her newly found Hollywood success, Oscar winning actress Lipita Nyong’o has a few people chatting about her current relationship status. Although rumors may have been sparked by the apparent friendliness shared between the chocolate beauty and fellow actor Jared Leto, what happened the morning after the famed night is what’s buzzing. According to RadarOnline, Lupita may have a thing for bad boys with her being spotted recently with Somali-born, Canada-bred,  rapper K’naan Warsame  (real name: Keinan Abdi Warsame). 

Holding her treasured prize, in the pictures, it seems like Lupita is quite comfy and happy in the arms of the 36-year old musician and singer despite reports of him being a ‘bad boy’ (their words, not ours). Reportedly, growing up in Canada, he joined  a Somali gang and developed a small history with the law which seems to be in his past now due to his more mature, conscious lyrics. In 2010, K’naan divorced his first wife Deqa, a pharmacy technician, with whom he has a 7 and 9-year-old son with.

Sources say the smoke-free, drink-free musician is now a

reformed character and has a successful music career

with his song “Wavin’ Flag” as the official anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Also, Lupita has made it clear that she plans on keeping her relationship with K’Naan private. On Feb 27th,  she was spotted front row enjoying his performance  at The Hotel Cafe, LA, where she requested no pictures were taken of her. Besides a few photos, nothing more about their rumored relationship has been shared. We’ll keep these potential couples on our radar for now. P.S. If you hold my Oscar, do we go together?
