[If We Face Time, We Go Together] Ashanti & Nelly Share A Cute Moment At the Club

Despite their constant denial, we think that there’s something clearly going on with these two.

All signs are leading us to believe that rapper/actor Nelly and singer Ashanti are close to being officially an ‘item’ again. This week, Ashanti released her new album, Braveheart and last night (March 7th), she hosted an album release bash at Atlanta’s Prive. According to our sources, Ashanti had a ball, especially after Nelly face-time’d her while she was partying. Nelly’s call was a complete surprise to the former Murder Inc singer and she even showed the crowd her phone.

Although they broke up in 2013, they still have some lingering ties with one another. Ashanti has shared in numerous interviews that her ex has served as inspiration for Braveheart.

Last week, she told Power 105’s The Breakfast Club:

I mean, I will say that there was a space where it was BAD..Are we cool? Yeah. When a person is hurt….men deal with hurt differently. There were a lot of things said publicly that shouldn’t have…

And when asked if he was ‘the one’, she side-stepped the answer, replying

Nelly is a really good person. He has a really good heart. You know?

Ashanti admitted that Nelly had already given one record in particular, his stamp of approval, as it discussed their relationship. S2S Magazine reported

When I wrote the record it was talking about things that happened between us. When I was singing the record, me and him were actually Skyping, so we were cool and we were talking about it. I guess it’s kind of weird how things came together. He loves that record, though, to be honest.

As we previously reported, the pair were recently reunited during Super Bowl XLVIII weekend in NYC, while hanging out at WiiP with Diddy and Rick Ross. Nelly has been romantically linked to actress/video model Tae Heckard.
