Oprah Invades Starbucks, Announces New Partnership With ‘Oprah Chai Tea’
Oprah Winfrey’s growing empire continues. On Wednesday (March 19th), a new partnership in the food and beverage industry was announced. Starbucks Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz and Oprah announced their new tea partnership. The announcement took place at the company’s annual shareholders meeting in Seattle. Before the announcement, Oprah shared an Instagram video, hinting of a huge announcement.
The partnership blends tea and philanthropy, literally.
Part of the proceeds benefit youth education.
Oprah shared her excitement, writing:
I looove tea! It’s a daily ritual and vital part of my morning. Chai is a favorite of mine. When Howard and Starbucks offered me a chance to create my very own tea blend, I thought that sounded like fun to the tenth power. To share one of my favorite things with you and support youth education at the same time is truly the perfect blend. Visit oprah.com/steepyoursoul for more info. #OprahChai#SteepYourSoul
