[Gladiator Scuffle] Columbus Short in Alleged Bar Brawl Over Wife
Reportedly, things got physical between actor Columbus Short and another gentleman in LA. The alleged event went down on March 15 at Gabe’s Bar and Grill. Here’s the quick and dirty. The Scandal Gladiator (who plays Harrison Wright) was involved in a bar fight in which the other guy allegedly ended up in the hospital. Cops are now conducting a criminal investigation.
According to TMZ, Columbus and his wife were at the Bar celebrating a couple’s engagement when he started arguing at the bar with another partygoer. The details are fuzzy at this point, but reportedly, the other guy made a comment along the lines of,
You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife.
An eyewitness tells the outlet that Columbus then came up from behind and sucker punched the guy. The eyewitness says the man’s nose was broken and he was rendered unconscious for several minutes. Columbus quickly left the bar and an ambulance came and took the 37-year-old man to a nearby hospital.

Cops are now investigating a criminal battery. Reportedly, it’s not the first time Columbus was allegedly involved in a physical altercation. In March, 2010 the actor was playing basketball at an L.A. Fitness gym when he got into an argument with another player and socked the guy in the face, knocking several teeth out. BTW, in 2005, Columbus married dancer Tanee McCall. In September 2013 she filed for divorce, but they have since reconciled. They have one daughter, Ayala, together.
