After reading some not so nice things about Sterling’s past, Laz agreed that their may be something more than just an isolated incident:

Laz received a ton of angry tweets about his perspective, which resulted him in questioning people about their own language:
Lets take 4 example all the people calling names & being rude when I’m trying 2 hav a discussion. Do ur words right now define who u are? … Have u ever said something in an argument w ur lover & apologized afterwards? Emotions r high when ur in love. That distinction was my point ….
He ended by thanking folk for a healthy discussion.

I made a mistake in speaking before getting all the facts about #donaldsterling. My sincere apologies. I have now listened to the full audio and do not condone racism of any kind. Lesson learned, I will get ALL the facts before responding on such matters.

He was not defending the guy at all! Before you assume from one tweet that you know what the discussion was about, read everything! You have this man looking like an idiot when you are the who posted incorrect information.
When we wrote the story, we didn’t base it off one tweet. In fact, we included much of his Twitter dialogue, which we appreciated because it was a different perspective. Are you referring to the title of the post? Some feel he was ‘defending’ Sterling, while others disagree. We respect both sides.
First thing you can not make anyone say anything that they do not already feel. The issue here is not whether she was baiting him or not, because he was the one upset about a picture. Ask Magic , Doc Rivers and the Clipper team how they feels LAZ, then come back and give your opinion
Poor Donald Sterling LOL. Ya’ll don’t even get the conversation. He saw his pretty young black girlfriend, taking pictures with strapping rich black men. He was saying, this makes me insecure, seeing you with black men on your instagram., If you are going to have sex with them, then do it, I’m an old white fart and I know that I can’t compete, just don’t bring them to the games and take pics with them, I’m jealous. Po thang. I bet he’s not racist. If anything, black men make him feel less superior.
@Tam you said it all! Baby that is the truth. When he said he lived in a culture, meaning he thinks like his ansestors; Angelo Saxons felt and feel inferior of black men but wont admit it. The objective is to make them feel beneath…that’s another story. Donald Sterling emotions might have been feeling high but I believe that’s how he felt regardless. Laz should know he’s said some questionable things too about black women.
Smh. AGAIN, READ the FACTS before you comment. He had a lawsuit filed against him for wrongful termination by Elgin Baylor, a Black man. He also has history of not renting out his properties to Blacks and Hispanics and putting them out wrongfully from his properties. She posed with Magic Johnson…I doubt he was that intimidated by him.

Well we all know now what the intent was and he (Donald Sterling) has admitted he said it and has notapologized for making the statements. As for the recording being a private conversation that was a mute issue. When it became public that is ehat the commissioner based his decision on. He is who he is and feels the wsy he feels. We as a society no matter what nationality, religion should never sit back and let someone disrespect us. We have come to far to make excuses for this kind of behavior.
