Sherri Shepherd’s Ex Husband Calls Her Unfit Mother, Wants Custody Of 9-Year-Old Son

More non-pleasant news is surrounding Sherri Shepherd. Reportedly, Sherri’s ex-husband, Jeffrey Tarpley, who she shares a 9-year-old-son (Jeffrey Jr) with, alleges that she’s a bad mother. According to TMZ, Jeffrey says that Sherri neglects their son, who is special needs. He claims that their son can barely write, reads at a 2nd-grade level, and can’t tie his shoes.
Reportedly, he lives in California, while Sherri lives in New Jersey, but wants custody of Jeffrey Jr. He’s filed an emergency request in April to modify the couple’s current custody arrangement for full custody.

Jeffrey alleges that because of her hectic work schedule (The View, The Newlywed Game, etc.), she’s unable to properly give their son the much needed attention. The site reports:

I agree, but he don’t we all. He needs to sit down. It’s not like I know her personally but this women talks about her son day in and out. She making good money what is he doing? And about the son not being able to tie his shoe laces that a dig on his son not Sherri. His son is special need that all determines where he stands with that. If he wants custody he shouldn’t fight dirty.
