[WATCH] New ‘Annie’ Trailer Starring Jamie Foxx & Quvenzhané Wallis
Produced by industry heavy hitters Jay-Z and Will Smith, upcoming movie Annie, is ready to make its big screen debut. As previously reported, the American musical/comedy-drama is directed by Will Gluck and stars 10-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis. Jamie Foxx plays the role of Will Stacks, an update of the character Daddy Warbucks.
This contemporary adaptation of the musical, is based upon the 1924 comic strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray. This will be the musicals third film adaptation following Columbia Pictures’ 1982 theatrical film and Disney’s 1999 made-for-television film.
