More Scandal! Mathew Knowles’ Alleged Baby Mama Taqoya Releases Statement + Is She Former Friends With Solange?

TaQoya Branscomb is speaking out, just one day after the public learned about claims that she secretly had a child with Mathew Knowles. As previously reported, TaQoya alleges she became pregnant with their child in 2010, the same year that Tina Knowles (the mother of Solange and Beyonce) filed for divorce. She has requested a DNA test. She’s also sent the following statement, released to several media outlets, that Wendy Williams read during her ‘Hot Topics’ segment: 

First I’d like to thank my family, my friends, and the public for their love and support. I have taken the necessary legal action against Mathew Knowles. With that being said… it’s in my best interest for this to remain a private

matter for now… Above all I am a mother and my daughter’s well being is my only priority. It was never my intention for this to become a public matter. The pictures you see are in no way a representation of who I am. They were taken 10 years ago… And I am now a hard working successful single mother. Honestly I just want what is best for my daughter.”

Reportedly, Solange actually knew TaQoya and had some type of friendship with her. According to TMZ, Solange had no idea about TaQoya and her father. The site reports that the two (TaQoya and Solange) met through a stylist in 2008 and they hung out together in nightclubs and bars in Houston.
