It’s no secret, Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, is not a fan of Lifetime’s highly anticipated biopic about her mother. And as it turns out, the singer’s mother Cissy, also does not agree with the film. This week, she told ET  that the family is “exhausted” by the “continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her,” and pleaded with fans to “please let her rest.”

Miss Houston I agree with you.I questioned the need for a movie about Whitney.I don’t think it’s necessary. But,I do think the family is jumping the gun. From what I’ve seen about Ms.Bassett,I don’t think she would do a movie that would make Whitney look bad. That doesn’t seem to be her style.

I can see her mother’s point but unfortunately, because of the Icon that she was, the entertainment world is going to do what they do regardless. It’s hard to believe that the families in these cases have no say so though. As a mother, I would have a fit if it were my child too but the flip side to that is this is all part of what they signed up for by becoming famous. It’s a double edged sword. I wonder why Bobby Brown hasn’t spoken on this yet? But then again, he’ll probably be getting paid in the process…

I don’t get it. Angela and Whitney were close friends and Angela is too classy to want to portray her in a negative light. So… what exactly is the problem? Are they mad because they can’t profit from it? No one said ‘let her rest’ when y’all had a reality show before she was even lukewarm in the ground with her daughter looking all types of drugged up on tv. Bye Mama Houston!

The movie was good! I thought Yaya and Arlen did a great job. It had more ups than downs in Whitney’s and Bobbie’s relationship. The music just made you miss Whitney all the more, but I’m glad it ended the way it did. Good job Angela Bassett!!!
