Mike Brown’s Death Prompts Open Letter By Keke Palmer: Stop separating yourself through race!
He (the officer) shot again and once my friend felt that shot, he turned around and put his hands in the air. He started to get down and the officer still approached with his weapon drawn and fired several more shots.
The 18-year-old planned to start classes at Vatterott College Monday. The shooting not only ignited protests in the predominantly black suburb area outside of St. Louis but quickly spread outrage around the world. Social media has been turning his life into a hashtag making sure his legacy lives on and celebrities are making sure their opinions are heard. One celebrity in question is Keke Palmer. The budding mogul has quickly become the voice of young adults and she’s let it be heard yesterday. First taking to her Twitter she references Martin Luther King as she spoke on the death of the St. Louis teen.
Making sure her Instagram followers heard her thoughts, she later changed platforms and posted a few videos over the matter as well.
The police officer’s name has yet to be outed but the Chief Tom Jackson said he has been put on paid administrative leave. Rest in peace, Mike Brown.

She’s lived a different life then many kids her age.I understand she’s a young woman now,and entitled to her views of the world. She needs to be real.Their are people in this world that feel superior. These people aren’t interested in loving others. They want to control and separate themselves from those that they deem less than them. What people can do,is learn to love themselves.Figure out what lane your in,get in that lane and ride it out. While your in that lane respect what you come in contact with learn what you can, become prosperous and keep it moving until it’s done. That how I live my life.
I have been intimatly involved on the ground with this matter, and not once have I ever heard the account of what happened as it is posted here. No one, including Dorian has ever said he was being placed in a sqad car??? What has been told repeatedly by people in the neighborhood who witnessed it- is that Mike and Dorian were told to stop walking in the street and to walk on the sidewalk. When they ignored him, the officer got out of his car. The chief stated there was an altercation, and Mike walked away.
Either way, the final story has yet to be told. Dorian has been sharing his accounts with the media, bc the police departments are refusing to interview him and take his statement.
And I also agree…. I have never heard of the story this way and that he was in the middle of being arrested.
I understand that she is saying we should all love one another, but the truth is everyone doesn’t. People don’t go out of their way to be secluded and targeted… that’s how it happens. And it seems she is very privileged to have not experienced any of these issues firsthand. We are not that separated from the civil rights movement so racism is very much still alive. So try telling Trayvon’s mom or Oscar Grant’s mom or Jordan Davis’ mom or Mike Brown’s mom that we are all brothers and sisters, Keke.
