Shantel Jackson Holds Press Conference, Announces Lawsuit Against Floyd Mayweather
Unfortunately, trouble seems to have followed Floyd Mayweather Jr. This afternoon (September 4th), Floyd’s ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson, held a press conference, with her attorney, Gloria Allred (Gloria has represented numerous A-listers and high profile cases). Shantel announced a lawsuit against the boxer for battery, assault, invasion of privacy, defamation and false imprisonment. During the press conference, Shantel became emotional while discussing their relationship. HipHollywood obtained a letter from her detailing why she elected to file the lawsuit.
There was a point in my relationship with Floyd that I thought we would be together forever. I loved him so much and I made sure that I took care of him the best I knew how.
I tried my best to make our relationship work by compromising and going to relationship counseling, but I finally realized that there was no hope and our relationship could not continue.

She states she can’t be bought but part of moving on is not trying to reimbursed financially because of a broken heart. When she decided to move on part of that was knowing that she doesn’t need any of Floyds money. I understand she is embarrassed about her abortion but that’s no reason to sue someone that you took back numerous times after he abused, held captive in his house and threatened to shoot her. Why now is she suing ? Why does she so badly need to sue him when she once accepted his character? I say move on Shantel honestly he made you the D list celebrity.
