[EXCLUSIVE] Jay Z Demands ‘Run This Town’ Lawsuit Be Dismissed
Jay-Z (real name Shawn Corey Carter) is firing back at allegations he illegally sampled music for his hit “Run This Town” and he claims the lawsuit filed against him has no basis, theJasmineBRAND.com has exclusively learned.
Music label TufAmerica filed a suit against the 44-year-old artist/business man claiming he used a sample of the 1969 song “Hook and Sling Part 1” by Eddie Bo in his hit “Run This Town” . They claim that they owned the copyright to it and he did not get permission.
