NFL’er Jonathan Dwyer Arrested for Domestic Violence
Another sting for the NFL. On Wednesday (September 17th), 25-year-old Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer was arrested on aggravated assault. According to the Associated Press, the charges were in connection to two altercations at his home in July involving a woman and an 18-month-old child. It’s been unconfirmed that the incident involves his wife Kayla Dwyer and their child.
The Cardinals said they are cooperating with the investigation and said in a statement:
Given the serious nature of the allegations we have taken the immediate step to deactivate Jonathan from all team activities. We will continue to closely monitor this as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available.
