(EXCLUSIVE) Halle Berry Wins Legal Victory Against Watch Company
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports that Halle Berry has scored a legal victory in her legal battle against a watch company who is said to have used her image in advertisements, with the actress being granted a permanent injunction against the company from using her image, likeness or even a similar sounding voice in their promotions.
Last year, the 48-year-old actress reportedly sued ToyWatch claiming they used her image to promote their products without permission. She wanted damages for what she considered false endorsements of the watches. [FYI: Sandra Bullock settled her lawsuit with the company over the same issue earlier this year.]
Earlier this year, ToyWatch filed docs requesting the courts approval to take depositions of “two of Plaintiff’s managers, one of Plaintiff’s publicists, one of Plaintiff’s stylists, and one of Plaintiff’s personal assistants”.
