(EXCLUSIVE) Fat Joe: I Don’t Owe Big Pun’s Widow Any Money! Rapper Wants $1 Mill Lawsuit Dismissed
Fat Joe (real name Joseph Antonio Cartagena) is firing back at the lawsuit filed by Big Pun’s (real name Christopher Lee Rios) widow, claiming he doesn’t owe her a dime of the money made off the late rapper’s music.
Reportedly, the 44-year-old was sued by his protege Big Pun’s widow — Liza Rios — who accused the rapper of screwing her out of money made from her late husband’s music. According to her lawsuit, Pun & Fat Joe had a deal to split the fortune made from Pun’s songs like, “I’m Not A Player“.
According to the court documents, following Pun’s death in 2000, Rios says that she was paid by Joe up until 2005 and hasn’t received any money since then — despite Pun’s music still making money.
