Oprah Throws Bestie Gayle King 60th Birthday Bash [Photos]

Oprah Winfrey, along with the good folk at Oprah Magazine, pulled out all the stops for Gayle King’s birthday.

This week, Gayle, who is BFF’s to Oprah and also the editor-at-large for Oprah Magazine, was uber surprised when she walked in on an unplanned bash that had been thrown in her honor, at New York’s Pier 59.

The event included tons of food (she even had a grilled cheese station and 960 cup cakes) and drinks (Gayle’s a foodie) and a DJ. Everyone in attendance wore clogs and the color yellow — both a favorite for Gayle.

Gayle’s bestie Oprah gave a heartfelt speech, along with Gayle’s son and daughter who attended. The magazine documented the bash on Instagram.
