(EXCLUSIVE) Kendrick Lamar to Reach Settlement in Lawsuit Accusing Him of Song Theft
The lawsuit demanded an injunction against Kendrick from continuing to distribute the song along with damages as a result of profits the rapper made from infringing on their copyright.
Kendrick allegedly never responded to the allegations that he stole the music without permission or paying the musician. However, on January 2nd court documents were filed by Woolfsongs Limited explaining that Kendrick and his people are in the process of signing a settlement agreement which will dismiss the legal battle. The docs note that a full settlement will be presented to the court for approval by January 16th and then they will file a dismissal of all claims of infringement against the rapper.
