Did Regina King Get Dumped By Malcolm-Jamal Warner On Valentine’s Day?

Did Malcolm-Jamal Warner break-up with Regina King on Valentine’s Day? It certainly appears that way. In a recent interview with US Weekly, the 43-year-old actress sorta-kinda alluded to it, while chatting at the Elle Women in TV Celebration.

Reportedly, when asked what her favorite Valentine’s gift has been so far, the actress revealed:

That’s tough because I don’t have one — someone broke up with me on Valentine’s. D—k! Yeah. I’m serious. Then he actually sent me flowers that said, ‘I still love you’ and I threw the flowers in the trash and he was upset that I threw them in the trash and I was like, ‘F—k you.’

Regina attempted to keep it classy, by not saying his actual name, but some assume that she’s alluding to her split with Malcolm-Jamal (44) in 2013. She added, hinting:

They’ll know. I love flowers but he thought that was right. What an *ss, right?

As previously reported, the couple had dated publicly for two years. Neither ever went into specifics as to what ended their relationship. Malcolm-Jamal later told Sister 2 Sister magazine:

Well, I mean, you try not to date in the spotlight. I think what Regina and I—you know, we had been together for several years before people realized we were together. So unfortunately our breakup got more coverage than our being together, and that kind of sucked ‘cause we spent so much time trying to keep it out of the public eye, and then the breakup was so much in the public eye. So all relationships have their share of obstacles, and you just try not to have yours plastered.

King was previously married to Ian Alexander Sr. from 1997 to 2007.
