Last night (February February 12th), New York’s HOT 97 FM, hosted “The Tip Off” to a sold out crowd at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Presented by Beats by Dre, the night started off with comedian Alex Thomas warming the crowd up, as HOT 97’s DJ Camilo spun. Doug E. Fresh took the stage next to introduce Puff Daddy, and the night exploded from there. A line of special guest acts followed, as Puff and Snoop led the charge, performing their classic hits including “Victory”, “All About the Benjamins”, “Drop It Like It’s Hot”, “Gin & Juice”, and “Beautiful”.

The surprise appearances were some of the biggest highlights of the night: Puff brought out his own son, Christian Combs, who proved dad’s dance moves run in the family; Kanye West touched down for a special performance of “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” as his wife, Kim Kardashian, proudly looked on from the side; Dr. Dre joined Snoop for “Nothin’ But a G Thang” and “Next Episode”, while the king of Queens, Nas, stopped by to perform “Hate Me Now”; R&B group 112 had “Peaches & Cream” trending; and Puff named Big Sean the next Ciroc Boy, after which he performed his hit song, “IDFWU”. The night came to an end as Faith Evans joined Puff and Snoop on stage for an inspiring rendition of “I’ll Be Missing You” alongside the Love Fellowship choir led by WLIB’s Bishop Hezekiah Walker. Puff and Snoop closed out the show by bringing out all of their friends for an electrifying performance of “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems”.
