Marvin Gaye’s Family Aiming for T.I. + Wants to Prevent Robin Thicke From Performing ‘Blurred Lines’
It appears this ‘Blurred Lines’ lawsuit is FAR from over. Reportedly, Marvin Gaye’s family wants to pull the plug on the song, entirely. On Tuesday, the late singer’s children filed an injunction. The purpose of this? In short, this would prevent Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell from ever performing the hit song. It would also prevent the copying and distribution.
As previously reported, earlier this month, a court decided that Thicke had copied parts of Gaye’s song, Got to Give It Up, originally recorded in 1977. Ultimately, both Pharrell and Thicke were ordered to pay nearly $7.4 million to three of Gaye’s children.
