Kanye West Perform at the Time 100 Gala [VIDEO]
Last night (Tuesday) April 21st, Kanye West provided an epic performance at the Time 100 gala honoring the most influential people in the world. Held at The World at Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC, his artistic and eclectic 20 minute set was memorable, to say the least.
The show included half-naked (haute) men, chest naked covered in white chalk and dressed in rags (we’re guessing this was to represent some form of slavery). He kicked off the set to James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” before ripping through a host of classics, tracks from his previous album and a few newbies from his upcoming album, So Help Me God.
Specifically, he performed “All Day” (from So Help Me God); “Black Skinhead,” “New Slaves” and “Blood on the Leaves” (from Yeezus); “Runaway”; “Only One,” “Good Life”; “Gold Digger”; and “Touch the Sky”.
After his performance, Ye’s wife Kim Kardashian, who was in attendance, posted the Instagram photo and caption below.
