And in other news, Sherri Shepherd is breaking her silence, speaking for the first time since a judge named her as the mother to a baby she shares no DNA connection with.

As previously reported, the former The View co-host and her estranged husband (Lamar Sally) had been battling in court over a son that was born to a surrogate mother. According to reports, their son was a result of Lamar’s sperm and a donor egg. Sherri tells ET that all things considered, she’s doing well:

Under the circumstances I’m doing really, really extremely well. I don’t care what I go through, nothing gets me down. You know me. I will smile my way through anything. I believe smiling and laughter is the best medicine. Life is difficult. So you just hang tough and you keep going. People who know me, my character, my integrity – I feel it speaks for itself.

She adds:

Everybody has their challenges. Everybody will go through something. It’s just how are you going to handle it when you go through it. So right now, it’s my challenge. I feel like everything always works out in the end,’ she said. ‘I’m a big believer that everything always works out in the end.

What’s next? Reportedly, the couple will have to meet to decide on child support on their 8-month-old son. Since she is listed as the mother, she will be required to pay child support.
