Floyd Mayweather Hit With $20 Million Lawsuit By Baby Mama Josie Harris For Lying About Domestic Violence
There’s a legal battle — outside of the ring — that Floyd Mayweather Jr is now involved in, just days after winning his highly anticipated boxing match against Manny Pacquiao.
Josie Harris, Floyd’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his three children, has hit him with a $20 million lawsuit.
The basis of her lawsuit? According to E! News, she’s suing for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
Reportedly, the lawsuit is a result of comments made during Floyd’s interview with Katie Couric. During the interview (which was part of the promo for his fight with Pacquiao), Couric asked him about his 2010 domestic violence incident involving Harris. Floyd told Couric
Did I kick, stomp and beat someone? No, that didn’t happen. Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone.
