The famous fictional Lyon brothers of Fox’s Empire, Andre, Jamal and Hakeem have landed the cover of Essence.

The actors — Jussie Smollet, Bryshere ‘Yazz’ Gray and Trai Byers — have each scooped individual covers, along with a group cover of the trio.

In the issue, Jussie reveals that he’s Instagram to pitch himself to Lee Daniels, for the show:

I jumped on Instagram and direct-messaged Lee and said, ‘Sir, I know you get this all the time, but I’m a singer, actor, dancer, songwriter and musician. I am Jamal Lyon in more ways than one.’
