The former assistant blasted Mariah in court documents saying she should have been aware that what she was doing was illegal and in violation of the law. She filed suit demanding the entire 4,000 overtime hour pay along with damages for the singers willful disregard for the labor laws.

Mariah never filed a response to the allegations in the lawsuit and the case had been pending since last year. Then on May 12th, documents were filed in the case by Mariah’s lawyer that stated she had reached a settlement with her ex-assistant and that the matter had been resolved in principle. The lawyer explains the deal will be fully executed within the next 30 days and they inform the court to take off all hearings and deadlines for the case due to them working out a confidential deal. See the exclusive court docs.
