Excessive Force or Nah? Texas Officer Placed On Leave After Disturbing Pool Party Video [WATCH]
Is this a case of excessive force?
A Texas police officer named Eric Casebolt is under the spotlight, after a disturbing video circulated over the weekend. Casebolt has been placed on administrative leave. Here’s what reportedly happened.
Over the weekend, officers (including Casebolt) were called because several young people were at a neighborhood pool without permission and refused to leave. The incident took place outside Craig Ranch North Community Pool.
In the clip that went viral, some argue that Casebolt appears to use excessive force when he threw a 15-year-old girl (named Dajerria Becton) wearing a bathing suit, to the ground. He also drew his weapon and used profanity.
Dajerria told KDFW:
[The officer] grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids. I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad.
Take a look at the clip below.

This has been all over the news in Dallas, TX which is where I stay and McKinney is a suburb of Dallas. What happened was a teenager was having a end of the year swim party at the community pool that is in the neighborhood for residences only. Some kids showed up that were not invited to the party. A lady (Caucasian) started yelling at the kids telling them to take they welfare, section 8, blah blah blah home and to get away from there. She was also using racist comments. We’ll one of the individuals started going back off on her (a 19yr old young lady) then they started to fight and that’s when someone called the police. The police came and one police officer the one shown in the video just started having everybody to sit down but some of the kids were not even involved in the altercation they were just walking by. He did excusive force on the young lady with the swim suit on that was uncaused for. The person that was videotaping this is a 15yr Caucasian young man and not one time was he asked to get down on the ground but all of the other kids were told to get down. The young man thought it was unfair and that’s why he posted the video. I’m so glad he noticed that and posted the video.
White trash. And that pervert cop had his hands on that teenager for wayyyyy to long should be fired.
