Miguel Explains Why He Called Himself A Better Artist Than Frank Ocean
Rap isn’t the only competitive verbal sports, so is R&B. Miguel’s (real name Miguel Jontel Pimente) latest interview proves just that. During a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the 29-year-old singer spoke about his relationship with Frank Ocean.
As you may or may not know, in 2013, Miguel lost a Grammy to Ocean. During his Sunday Times interview, he states:
I wouldn’t say we were friends. To be completely honest — and no disrespect to anyone — I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around.
Speaking on the comparisons between him and Ocean, along with The Weeknd, he adds:
It’s interesting, but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know?
