Tyrese Gibson — whose latest album Black Rose has hit #1 on the Billboards — is asking fans to throw support behind the video/short film for his single, Shame.

Tyrese took to his Instagram, asking fans to help the Denzel Washington produced project get submitted for both the Toronto Film and Tulluride Film festivals. See his post in his own words:

FILM FESTIVAL MISSION!!! I need your #HELP and energy to get our short film SHAME into the #TorontoFilmFestival and the #TelluRide film festival… Breakdown!
SHAME is a dramatic musical short film about a struggling 1968 soul singer ( Lionel Jacobs played by Tyrese Gibson who’s married to his background singer Bobbi Ann Jacobs played by Oscar award winning actress Jennifer Hudson they have a family with 2 kids, they perform every night at a nightclub in Detroit Lionel starts garnishing a lot of local popularity from his voice and live stage presence then becomes mentally, spiritually and physically abusive towards his wife with his power – drinking, drugs and we later discover that Lionel is caught up in a love triangle with between his wife and one of his other background singers Mary Ann Atkins played by Brely Evans Starring Tyrese Gibson Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson
