‘Straight Outta Compton’ Wins At the Box Office!

‘Straight Outta Compton‘ won this weekend at the box office, exceeding expectations for the F. Gary Gray directed film. As previously reported, the biographical drama film revolves around the rise and fall of the Compton, California hip hop group N.W.A and borrows its title from the name of N.W.A’s 1988 debut studio album. The film was officially released on August 14, 2015.

According to reports, it beat out “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” and according to studio estimates on Sunday, the film earned $56.1 million in its debut. The film cost just $29 million to produce.
