Basketball Wives: LA Will Return For Season 5!
Great news for Basketball Wives: LA fans. VH1 has announced that the hit show has been picked up a fifth season. According to Deadline, the non-scripted show’s ratings for Basketball Wives: LA have propelled the cable network to the No. 1 spot on average in the Sunday 9 PM time period with women 18-34, according to VH1. In addition, the 9 PM premiere episodes have posted triple digit gains with the demo versus year ago levels (+157%).
During season 4, Shaunie O’Neal (who is an executive producer) returned to the franchise, along with her Basketball Wives Miami cast mate, Tami Roman. Tami wasn’t an official cast member, but made multiple appearances throughout the season. Draya Michele, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell, and Jackie Christie returned as regular cast members. New this season was Eddy Curry and Malaysia’s friend, Patrice Curry, as well as Draya’s friend, fashion designer and ex- girlfriend of Tyreke Evens, Angel Brinks.
