(EXCLUSIVE) Ex NBA Star Speedy Claxton’s Divorce Turns Nasty With Basketball Wives Star
However, things don’t seem to be going so cordial in the divorce. Meeka demanded the court order Speedy to pay her temporary support – child and alimony – while the divorce is pending and before a final order is entered in the case. Speedy then filed docs weeks later attempting to have his estranged wife SHUT DOWN and demanded he not have to pay her anything until the divorce judgement is final.
Then earlier this year, Speedy returned to court demanding the court reconsider the order on temporary support and alimony, clearly not pleased with the judges decision.
Speedy also demanded to squash a subpoena that his estranged wife had slapped him with during the divorce. A subpoena is usually served on one’s bank or financial institutes to demand they hand over records related to the persons financial records.
The divorce has gotten so nasty that in July, Speedy headed back to court demanding Meeka be found in contempt of court for violating the judges order. It’s unclear what the NBA star believes Meeka violated from the court records.
A trial was originally scheduled this month in NY Court … but has been rescheduled until November 30th, where the exes will battle it out before a judge over child support and alimony.
