Common Inks Deal With HBO
Congrats to rapper/actor Common (real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr.). The 43-year-old has signed a two-year first-look deal in television with HBO. According to Deadline, with this deal, he will develop and produce projects for the premium cable network through his Freedom Road Productions alongside his manager/partner Derek Dudley and head of development and production Nicole Dow.
Common recently received his first scripted pilot order as a producer at Showtime for a Chicago-set drama from writer Lena Waithe.
