(EXCLUSIVE) Lil Wayne Accused of Screwing Over Firework Co., Despite Signing $86k Settlement
They accused Lil Wayne of owing them a total of $85,964.83 – for everything from 200 tracer comets, 62 white flashes with a bang, 36 propane tanks, 30 pounds of exploding powder and also all the fees associated with permits and insurance.
Then on August 10th, docs were filed in the case which state a settlement between Lil Wayne and the company has been reached. The rapper agreed to pay $85,964 along with a $444 court cost for a grand total of $86,408, which would be paid through 4 installments of $21,602.
The company stated that if he defaulted, he’d have to pay the full amount immediately plus an additional $7,289 in interest.
However, the deal said if the rapper made each payment on time and pays them the final installment in December, the entire case would be dismissed.
Then recently, the firework company filed docs stating Lil Wayne screwed them over on the settlement agreement they both signed. They explain Wayne failed to make the first payment that was due on September 15th in the amount of $21,602.
Pyrotek Special Effects says that as a result, Lil Wayne has defaulted on the entire settlement and therefore they are demanding he be ordered to pay a total of $96,156 — the entire 86k owed on the settlement, $7,300 in interest and additional court costs and legal bills.
The judge has yet to make a decision on their motion to force Lil Wayne to cough up the nearly $100k.
