Reality TV Newbie Kim Fields Says RHOA Won’t Change Her [VIDEO]

Kim was referring to Wendy’s opinion on ‘Hot Topics’ when she told her through the TV not to join RHOA because she is an icon. Known for her roles on the sitcoms Facts of Life and Living Single, Wendy asked why she joined the cast. Kim replied,

My family and I have been asked to do reality TV for years and have our own show and all sorts of things. Either the platform wasn’t right or timing wasn’t right and when this opportunity came up, it became, go big or go home.

She went on to explain she doesn’t have a lot of girlfriends,

It was almost like a social adventure for me to be able to say oh, let me try this.

Kim admitted she hasn’t been to the chateaus or manors or anything like that except for Phaedra’s house. She also revealed she wasn’t a fan of the show before she joined,

I certainly knew of them and the show and that sort of thing. I saw clips, but my world is inundated with kid TV since Sebastian was born. I’m not caught up on all my stuff that I enjoy watching, so I knew of them.

Kim also didn’t know what throwing shade meant.

I didn’t, I didn’t, I heard ratchet but then when I’m talking and they’re like oh, that’s shade, I’m like, no that is not shade, I just don’t know.

Wendy expressed that she was scared for her to be on the RHOA show. Kim’s mom, Chip Fields, who was the original “momager” also told her to, “get in and get out.” Kim assured Wendy,

Don’t be scared, we are true to us. The woman that you all have helped to raise in your own way by pouring into my career and my spirit, that’s the same chick that shows up.
