Congrats to NFL’er Cam Newton! The 26-year-old quarterback for the Carolina Panthers and his long-term girlfriend Kia have welcomed their first child together, according to Terez Owens. In October, photos surfaced of Kia’s baby shower.

[Sidebar: There are unconfirmed reports that Kia previously was a stripper, who went by the name Hazel]. Newton has remained mum about his new bundle of joy, but this celebratory dance (see below) during Sunday’s game triggered some speculation.

A photo has also surfaced of Newton posing with a nurse who helped deliver his baby at the hospital.

Update #2. Newton has confirmed the news on Twitter writing:

My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week. Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes!

Congratulations to Cam, baby mother, and son. Ooh but I’m trying to feel happy about her as the one, but there’s something very unsettling in my gut about her. Her smile seems forced, she doesn’t look happy. She has a look like she wants to claw into someone’s flesh. Maybe it’s my imagination, but where is the joy behind the smile?
Maybe she’s had a rough life, and are you’re trying to give her a better life? Just sayin’ I hope you have the right girl for you.
