It should come as no surprise that some of Kanye West’s lyrics on his new album, The Life of Pablo, are shocking. On Thursday, he had a listening session/fashion presentation at Madison Square Garden and gave the world it’s first listen. One on track, Kanye raps about the fact that him and Ray J may have been friends, if they both didn’t have Kim Kardashian in common. He rhymes:
Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasn’t in love with the same bitch … you might have hit it first, but I’m rich, though.

Despite the lyrical jab at Ray J, we hear that the reality star has no issue with the song or it’s lyrics. In fact, Kanye is said to have spoken with Ray J’s sister, Brandy Norwood, before the track’s release to ensure that the song didn’t blow-up into a back and forth between the two. We hear that Ray J has no issue with the track.
