See the ‘Southside With You’ Trailer Starring Tika Sumpter & Parker Sawyers [VIDEO]

The new trailer, for Southside with You, starring Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter has been released.

The romantic dramedy film is directed and written by Richard Tanne. The film stars Parker as a young Barack and Sumpter as a Michelle Robinson Obama.

The film focuses on the couple’s first date on an evening in 1989 and their first kiss outside an ice cream parlor. Tanne is making his directorial debut on the film.

The film premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and received positive reviews from critics. It is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2016.
