(EXCLUSIVE) Gucci Mane Pays Off Restitution Following Prison Release
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, rapper Gucci Mane is one step closer to wrapping up his criminal case – which saw him locked up for 3 years in Federal Prison – with the Federal Government has informed the court that the rapper has recently paid off his entire $5k+ restitution and fines that the judge ordered him to pay.
On September 14th, 2013, Gucci was arrested by the Dekalb County, Georgia for possessing a firearm which was a violation of the terms of his probation. Gucci would eventually enter a guilty plea and be sentenced to 39 months in prison in August 2014.
The judge also ordered the rapper to not use any illegally controlled substance, pay $5,100 in restitution and fines, submit to drug tests randomly following his release from prison, not own or posses any firearms, have his home searched randomly by.
Gucci also had to complete a mental health treatment program and participate in a drug/alcohol treatment program, along with pay all costs associated with both.
In March, he was finally released from prison 4 months early and immediately began producing and releasing new music.
The rapper seems to be on the right track with his life, based on docs filed by the Federal Government on July 19th.
They explain in the court filing that Gucci has recently paid off the entire $5,100 in restitution and fines the judge imposed on him during sentencing.
He will continue to be on probation for 3 more years, but it’s looking good for the rapper thus far.
