“Extra’s” Charissa Thompson caught up with singer Jason Derulo at Universal Studios Hollywood, where he opened up on his career and love life.

Derulo has a new album and new music, but after two highly publicized breakups, is the singer looking for love? Jason revealed,

I am single at the moment.

After high profile romances with Jordan Sparks and Daphne Joy, he says he’s not in the market for love right now.

You know I’m not actually looking for anything, not looking to rush into anything.

When he does find the one, he will definitely sweep them off their feet.

I try to keep it fresh and new and do something different, I want to treat my woman like a queen.

Derulo shows off his sexy and romantic side in his music videos and on stage, with fans loving his shirtless scenes. As for how he keeps his himself looking ripped, Jason shared,

I think it’s important to, like, switch it up. One thing that I like to do with my dancers… we get into a circle, each person chooses an ab workout, so for like 30 minutes you’re just going hard.

Jason’s new album, “Platinum Hits,” combines a few of his hits with some new music.

It’s eleven songs, the platinums that the fans made platinum, and one brand new song that’s called ‘Kiss the Sky,’ which is also the new song in the ‘Storks’ movie that’s coming out.

The 26-year-old is also starring on the small screen with a role in the new show “Lethal Weapon.” He reflected,

I used to box when I was young, but my mom made me stop. She’s like, ‘Pick another sport,’ but basically I wanted to relive my past dreams, and I got to do this on the show. It was a lot of fun.

Jason is also back as a judge on “So You Think You Can Dance,” gushing,

Oh man, it’s amazing, the new season is ‘Next Generation,’ so it’s all kids, and I didn’t know what to expect,and it’s unbelievable. These kids are amazing. The talent is unreal – they’re pocket sized!”
