Robert Griffin III is defending his new girlfriend publicly. Here’s the backstory: The NFL player and his wife, Rebecca Liddicoat, are in the middle of a divorce, but are still legally married. A few months ago, reports surfaced that he’s dating a new woman, heptathlete Grete Sadeiko.

Fast forward to the present day and apparently Grete is being dragged for allegedly ruining his marriage to Rebecca.

Today he hopped on Twitter, in an attempt to defend his new bae and set the record straight. See his tweets below.

Meanwhile, Grete seems unbothered with some of the criticism that she’s received about their relationship.
