(EXCLUSIVE) Laura Govan Unbothered After Losing Lawsuit to Gilbert Arenas: She’s moved on!
Laura Govan Unbothered After Losing Lawsuit to Gilbert Arenas
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, a source reveals Laura Govan is unbothered by the legal drama surrounding her and ex, Gilbert Arenas. Recently, reports surfaced that Gilbert had won his lawsuit against the reality star. Reportedly, the Basketball Wives alum was ordered to pay over $110,000 for allegedly leaking emails to the media claiming that she contracted STDs from the former NBA player.
While the ex-NBA star received a default judgment in the case in which Govan is to pay $110,110 for his emotional distress, Laura has said very little about it publicly. A source tells us,
She doesn’t speak out because she knows the truth. They both know the truth about the situation. She feels like she doesn’t need to prove anything to the public.
The source adds that Laura is only focused on co-parenting, pursuing her career and nothing more.
At the end of the day, that’s the father of her children. She sees his behavior and how he drags her on social media and she’s embarrassed. Honestly, she wants to be left alone and for him to move on.
Another source says that Laura has moved on and is dating, but Gilbert is trying to make it really difficult for her relationships.
Laura was dating a guy earlier this year and it was a disaster because of Gilbert. He was a decent guy, low-key, a non celebrity type, and Gilbert got so jealous that he actually threatened the guy and allegedly pulled a gun out.
While that relationship didn’t work out, we’re told Laura is now in a new, healthier relationship.
She’s over this whole thing. She doesn’t want Gilbert. I doubt she’ll pay him a dime. Besides, why would a man that’s rich want the mother of his children to pay him $100k?! It’s ridiculous!
Gilbert and Laura Govan share four children together.
