Does Mary J. Blige’s Husband Deserve $129,319 In Spousal Support?

It looks like Mary J. Blige may have to drop a few coins, thanks to her divorce from her estranged husband/manager Kendu Isaacs. According to a new report, Kendu wants spousal support. The rumored number floating around? Close to 130k. Allegedly, he’s asked for $129,319 per month.

The couple did sign a prenup, but Kendu claims that he signed it without a lawyer and that it is not a valid agreement. In fact, he says that Mary has already given him two checks, around $80, since their separation.

We hear that since he has managed Mary for years and she’s currently touring, he has no income. Especially since Mary was the breadwinner in their marriage.

As previously reported, in July, Mary filed for divorce, after 12 years of marriage. In a recent interview, she opened up about their split saying,

If you know me, you know what I’m dealing with right now. The ‘Thick of It’ is the divorce and all this stuff that’s going on right now. It’s the heaviness of it and the whole thing.

She added,

That’s where I am. I’m in the middle of a divorce and it doesn’t feel good. It feels terrible, but I have strength to get through and I get through by any means necessary.

Does Kendu deserve spousal support? And if so, is this amount fair?
