There are even more layers to the split between Mariah Carey and her now ex fiance James Packer. For starters, we hear that despite plans for the singer and billionaire to marry next March, Mariah was still married to Nick Cannon, allegedly.

According to a new report, Nick had not yet signed divorce papers. We hear that despite still being legally married, Mariah and James were going to have the ceremony next spring. Instead of calling it a wedding, they would refer to it as a ‘commitment ceremony‘, but fake to the public that they were actually married.

There’s also new tea surrounding the $50 million that Mariah allegedly wants from James. Initially, it was reported that Mariah wanted this amount because she had to relocate her and her kids from NYC to LA and she also had to cancel an upcoming tour due to their split.

However, according to a new report the pricey figure was what was agreed upon in their prenup. According to a report:

Mariah Carey has demanded $50 million from ex-fiance James Packer because that is the amount she would have walked away with had they signed their prenup. Packer’s lawyers clearly felt the prenup was complicated, sending Mariah’s team a 100 page document outlining the specifics. The details in the document are fascinating. Among the many conditions … if Packer gave Mariah a piece of jewelry or anything else, she would have to give it back if they broke up UNLESS he sent her a signed note saying it was a gift. The prenup draft also provided that Mariah would get $50 mil if they broke up.

To date, Mariah nor James have commented publicly about their split.
